Evacuation Procedure At Esperanza Bonanza, we want everyone that comes out to the festival to have an enjoyable experience. However, sometimes situations arise, and our top priority is the safety of all in attendance. In the event of severe weather or other emergency situations, the following evacuation procedures are in place:
First, all event spectators will be instructed to leave the festival grounds in an orderly fashion and teams and vendors will be instructed to occupy their booths. The buses will help take people back to their vehicles, and for those with parking passes that have parked their personal vehicles in designated areas, the gate that opens up to the service road will be opened to offer an additional exit and further help traffic flow. Then, security will sweep the festival grounds for any remaining spectators.
At that point, depending on the severity of the situation, it will be at the discretion of the teams and vendors whether to stay with their booths or leave the grounds. The festival will resume once the reason for the evacuation is passed or resolved as long as it’ s still within the regularly scheduled festival times and dates. However in the extreme event that the festival is cancelled, ONCE ALL SPECTATORS ARE OFF THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS, we’ll allow teams and vendors to bring in vehicles and trucks to clear out anything from their booth.
If the Crittenden County Emergency Management Agency (CCEMA) determines that a situation requires a mandatory evacuation, teams and vendors will not have the option of staying.
